Microsoft Word Introduction

This Microsoft Word 2016 training class is designed for students new to working with Microsoft Word in Windows, as well as those with some experience. Students will learn to create, edit, format, and print Microsoft Word documents. Students will also learn advanced formatting, use Word 2016 drawing tools, create and manage tables, and work with column layouts. Target Audience: Students who have little or no familiarity with Microsoft Word 2016 or more experienced Word users who want to learn the topics covered in this course in the 2016 interface. Students who have basic skills with Microsoft Word 2016 who want to learn intermediate-level skills or students who want to learn the topics covered in this course in the 2016 interface. Walk the Halls Keep up your walking routine by walking the halls at Frankenmuth High School, Monday through Thursday 4:00-8:00 PM.  Please use the northeast entrance by District Office. 

Zumba Fitness®

Ditch the workout and join the Zumba Party.  What is Zumba Fitness®?  Pretty much the most awesome workout ever.  Dance to great music using easy to follow steps, party with great people, and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it!  You do the moves at your level; Zumba is for  EVERY body! This presentation helps families understand the Financial Aid process and highlights the opportunities available to students: Optimize your FAFSA, improve needs-based funding options, competition between colleges for your student, finding Merit-based opportunities and paying the balance options.

Intro To Digital Photography

In this introduction to photography class students will learn the basic use of their DSLR cameras, shutter speed/aperture/ ISO, Composition, Uploading/Saving/ Backing Up/and Light Editing photos.  Printing options will also be viewed.

Take the stress out of planning a Walt Disney World or Disney Cruise Line vacation with this class.  We will teach you how to have a great vacation for the lowest possible cost.  You will find how to save money, time, avoid huge crowds, and waiting in line.  We will show you the best places to eat, which rides to do, and where to stay.

Scrapbooking with Lynne

Join Lynne Zeddies of Heritage Makers and learn how to capture and preserve life’s precious moments. Tuesday, October 17: Digital Scrapbooking-Learn the basics with digital scrapbooking on Heritage Makers.  Create a 2-page layout and publish it with your photos.  Bring a flash drive with six to eight of your photos to include in your layout.  Pages will be delivered to Community Ed office.

Love to Sing? No matter what your ability, joining a choir promises to lift your mood.  And those who don’t know their fortes from their falsettos, the MCP Curbside Singers is a place where anyone can learn to sing! MCP Curbside Singers gives singers high school age and Adults the opportunity to learn and perform for two upcoming scheduled performances: An American Salute and Holiday Splendor IV, Christmas At The Bandstand at the Bronner Performing Arts Center.  Join us for one, or two performances!

Fall Greeting: Stamp A Stack

Create handmade all occasion greeting cards using card stock, rubber stamps, ink, and embellishments. Create 20 cards with five different designs. Supplies include envelopes and embellishments. Please bring your own adhesive to class.

Elder Law, VA, and Long-Term Care Presentation

This one-night informational seminar will explain the many changes in the Medicaid Laws and provide information on elder law and long-term care planning.  This seminar will also explain the Veteran’s benefit that will assist with long-term care costs. You will learn how to protect the spouse still living in the community so that they have the necessary funds to continue their lifestyle should you need nursing home care. Instructor: Sharon A.
