What a great first day at List Elementary! Our hallways and classrooms were once again filled with smiling faces, lots of excitement, and the energy that comes with the start of a brand-new school year.

Thanks to the Frankenmuth German Heritage Committee and our FHS German students, every first grader received a Schultüte to help celebrate the start of their school year!
In Germany, children traditionally receive a Schultüte, a decorated cone filled with school supplies and treats, when they begin first grade. Our high school students learned about the tradition last spring and made one for each of our incoming first graders.
What a great way to connect our students with Frankenmuth’s German heritage while making the first day of first grade even more memorable!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this tradition to List Elementary. We hope this is the first year of many! ❤️🦅🇩🇪
Back-to-School Arrival & Dismissal Reminders
A few quick reminders to help our first days run smoothly:
Morning Arrival-
Doors open at 7:35 AM. Please do not drop students off earlier unless they attend Eagles Daycare.
The east lot is Express Drop-Off only. No parking. The east entrance is students only.
Families walking students inside should park in the west/main lot and enter through the main entrance. Please avoid numbered spaces assigned to high school students.
Parents may walk students inside through October 2. Beginning October 5, morning arrival will be students and staff only.
Students arriving before the 7:50 bell wait in:
DK/K: Art Room
1st: Music Room
2nd/3rd: Cafeteria
4th: Gym
Students eating breakfast should go directly to the cafeteria.
Afternoon Dismissal-
DK, K & 1st: Pick-up begins at 2:50 PM near the west/main entrance. Teachers must see the adult picking up before releasing students.
2nd-4th: Dismissed at 3:00 PM. Please have a clear meeting spot planned with your child.
Bus riders are supervised and assisted with finding the correct bus.
Transportation Changes-
Please contact the main office and your child's teacher before 2:00 PM for same-day transportation changes.
Traffic is always a little slower during the first few weeks, so please plan for a few extra minutes. Thank you for helping us get everyone in and out safely!
